Bailey Road Park

Bailey Road Park encompasses over 66 acres located off Hwy 115 at the corner of Bailey Road. The park provides a variety of recreational opportunities and site amenities. The park includes two lighted soccer fields and a football field. There are also three lighted tennis courts, as well as two lighted baseball/softball fields and a batting cage. Two shelter areas (call to reserve) with picnic tables, grills and public restrooms are also located on the park site. Other amenities include outdoor basketball courts, nearly two miles of asphalt walking trails, 1/4 mile nature trail, bandshell, two playground areas and a popular eighteen-hole disc golf course.
Glen Oak Green Park

Glen Oak Green Park encompasses over four acres and is located in the Oakhurst subdivision. The park provides a play unit for 2- to 5-year-old children as well as a “climbing rock” for those participants over the age of 5. The swing structure includes two bucket swings for infants and toddlers, two belt and two handicap accessible swings for children to enjoy. A gazebo located with a picnic table is conveniently located near these play amenities. A multipurpose field is also located on site for various recreation activities and programs. An asphalt trail and benches throughout the park provide for a relaxing environment.
Jetton Road Neighborhood Park
16000 Jetton Road This park encompasses close to six acres of open space off Jetton Road. The park includes a tree-lined, 1/3-mile gravel walking trail as well as picnic areas. A multi-purpose field is centrally located in the park and can accomodate many activities including lacrosse, soccer and football.
Legion Park

Legion Park is located in the heart of old town Cornelius and offers a playground, picnic shelter (may be reserved), lighted baseball/softball field, batting cage, .4 mile walking trail and indoor restroom facilities. An historic marker and bench is situated beside the old spring (Spring Street). It highlights the historic significance of the spring which was a source of water for the Town. It was also an early encampment site for Revolutionary War soldiers.
Smithville Park

Located in the historic Smithville Community, Smithville Park includes numerous leisure activities and amenities. The park encompasses close to nine acres off Catawba Avenue. Amenities include a picnic shelter with tables and grill, playground equipment for children ages 2- 12 and public restrooms. The shelter is available for reservations and rental purposes for birthday parties, reunions, etc. The park also includes two lighted baseball/softball fields, batting cage and a lighted multi-purpose field used for lacrosse, soccer and special events.
Torrence Chapel Park

This 15-acre park includes a picnic shelter with grill (call to reserve), two lighted baseball/softball fields, batting cage, playground, two lighted tennis courts, basketball court, 1/3-mile walking trail and restroom facilities.
Yacht Club Park Playground
This unique playground is located at the corner of Flying Jib and Harborlight Boulevards in The Peninsula. Entitled "The Galleon," the playground theme reflects the boats harbored at the nearby Peninsula Yacht Club. It also provides, through a unique lease arrangement with the Peninsula Property Owners Association, a safe harbor for all children in the community.
Walter Henderson Park

Located at the corner of Walter Henderson Road and Backcourse Lane, this three-acre park is a peaceful retreat in growing Cornelius. It includes a 1/3-mile walking trail, playground, gazebo, grill and play meadow.
