A beginner instructional Spanish class for students in grades K – 5 is being offered on Wednesdays from 10:00am – 11:00am starting June 17, 2009 and concluding August 12, 2009 (No class on July 1).  The class will be held at the Bailey Road Recreation Center located at 11900 Bailey Road in Cornelius. 

Nalda Seidman will be leading the class and she will use the "Risas y Sonrisas" curriculum, which is a multi-media, multi-sensory approach that is designed to stimulate different learning styles.  The mission of this curriculum is to foster a love of learning a second language in each student by presenting fun-filled lessons through the use of music, games, and creative visual aids.  Nalda has experience working with elementary school children in grades K – 5 who are learning English as a second language.

The cost for the eight week session is $80 per resident and $90 per non-resident.  Participants may choose to purchase the "Risas y Sonrisas" Instructional book for an additional cost.  Participants may register at Cornelius Town Hall or online.  To register online, click here.
