This 26-acre park features floating piers and boat launching, so you are only minutes away from sailing the waters of Lake Norman. When hunger strikes, stop at the Dockside Cafe, where you can dock your boat, walk up and enjoy a sandwich or snack... or stock up on nightcrawlers. Other amenities include: a playground, picnic areas and sand volleyball courts.

This 106-acre lakefront park offers opportunities for the entire family. It includes picnic sites, lighted tennis courts, walking trails, gazebo, sunning beach (no swimming), playgrounds, restrooms, concession area and Waterfront Hall which may be reserved for special events.

McDowell Creek Greenway
|
McDowell Creek Greenway is the first greenway in Cornelius and the first  Mecklenburg County greenway to connect two towns: Huntersville and Cornelius. The 1.5 mile paved trail begins at Highway 73 in Huntersville, meanders behind Birkdale Village at the movie theater and goes up to Westmoreland Road near the Alexander Chase community just west of I-77. Along the way it offers convenient connections to Birkdale Village (Townley Road), Rubbermaid office complex, the Birkdale Village community, the future Robbins Park and The Preserve at Robbins Park community, and the Alexander Chase community. The paved trail is mostly level with moderate incline near Westmoreland Road.

This waterfront park covers 46 acres and features sunning beaches, boat launching and docks, a playground, picnic shelters, nature trails and a fishing pier. Sunbrellas are available for rental and provide an instant picnic shelter along the shores of Lake Norman. The trails offer a great place to walk and admire nature at its finest
