The Cornelius PARC Department and The Community Arts Project have created a fun-filled spring schedule of classes and workshops for all ages- preschool, elementary, teen and adult; at the Cornelius Arts Center! Choose from classes in painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, drop-in, open studio and more! Registration is currently underway for spring classes. Adult classes will begin the week of March 1 and youth classes will begin the week of March 22. Register ONLINE Now!

Gordon C. James Exhibit
January 4 - February 26
Selected works by noted artist, Gordon C James will be on display at the Cornelius Arts Center gallery from January 4 - February 26, 2010.
James' artistic genre has its roots in Impressionism, inspired by John Singer Sargent and others. His style is both academic and expressive, allowing him to connect with his viewers.
A reception with the artist will be held on Friday, February 26, from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Cornelius Arts Center, 19725 Oak Street.

Have a Heart Celebration!
Get ready for some Valentine-making FUN for the whole family! The Town of Cornelius Department of Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture (PARC) along with The Community Arts Project (CAP) present the Annual Have A Heart Valentine's Celebration on Saturday, February 6 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Cornelius Arts Center.
This long-standing annual event features valentine-themed art projects, complete with envelopes to create a valentine for every special person on your list! This is an all-ages, FREE public event, so be sure to invite all your friends to come along! Donations will be accepted at the door.
